FIGHT CLUB
Want to take your sparring to the next level? Proactive have developed a hardcore program for those serious about combat sports, training and conditioning for those who want to spar for competition, be it gym spar, boxing, kick boxing or Muay Thai.
Fight Club sessions are focussed on developing a hard core squad to push each other to a high competitive sparring level. Call academy at 4:00-4:30 to confirm training venue, as we frequently visit other gyms for furthering your experience.
2010 Fight club will be open to all sparring level members. Even if you dont want to compete but want to help push the initial core squad, we want you! This is a tough hard class with extreme fitness and training. You must have safety gear. Our vision is for fight fight club members to be training and competing professionally with an invitation only squad by 2011.
FIGHT CLUB TRAINING
Friday 5:30-6:30 Fight Club Training. Bring runners & sparring kit. Monthly (& occasionally fortnightly) gym visits to develop your skills and standards against other Melbourne based gyms.To join fight club you must be commited to the program, be prepared for extra fitness and running and able to commit to pushing your comfort zones. Fight club members are expected to commit to Tuesday night sparring skills/drills class and train 6 days per week.
Recomended Additional Fight Club Training Sessions
SPARRING SKILLS & DRILLS
Tuesdays 5:30-6:15pm. This class is totally combative focusing on skills required to improve your defence, offence and ring craft. This is suitable for all Intermediate and Advanced members and is a great way to improve your sparring.
OPEN GYM
Monday to Friday 4:00 - 6:00pm. Extra fitness is required for fight club members and this is perfect oppurtunity to crash the heavy bags and get your oofensive skills fast, accurate and instinctive.
